Morris’s 5-10, 218-pound who impressed no one at the NFL Combine. He only ran a 4.67 40-yard dash, the 19th-fastest for backs. Scouts thought he had no real value. But Morris proved his worth. He led the NFL with 22 broken tackles and gained 795 yards after contact. The National Football League announced January 2, 2013, that Washington Redskins running back Alfred Morris was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week. Morris selection marks the first time in the history of the award that a rookie running back and rookie quarterback. Morris and Griffin III became the first rookie running back/quarterback tandem to post 1,000 yards rushing and 3,000 yards passing.
