The Başkent Yıldızları S.K., abbreviated form of Başkent Yıldızları Buz Pateni ve Buz Hokeyi Spor Kulübü, is a sports club founded in 1988 in Ankara, Turkey with a professional men's and a women's ice hockey team. The men participate in theTurkish Hockey SuperLig (TBHSL)and the women participate in the Turkish Ice Hockey Women's League. Both teams play out of the Ankara Ice Palace.

Başkent Yıldızları is Turkish for "Capital City Stars".

ERZURUM GENÇLİK SENIOR SPOR beat BB ANKARA 11-4 yesterday. Erzurum Gençlikspor Senior Kulübü is now 6-1 in league play & 11-1 Overall. The team played with only ten players and still managed to dominate the match. Gençlikspor has a number of player injured and still has 5 players suspended from the fight filled first match with Koceli in the Super League.

The success of our senior team comes down to leadership, "Said McAdams". I have been blessed with three players who provide great leadership and mentoring abilities for our club. Without Brian Dunford, Ryan Strayer and, Nikolas Sturmankin there would be no success in Erzurum. I can not over emphasize the positive contribution these players have made for Erzurum Gençlikspor and the city of Erzurum. These players are quality people, players and role models.

Keith McAdams Coaching Tips -3 v 1 Wise Drill (Part 1)

3 v 1 Wise Drill:

Terms:

1. Look one way, pass the other.

2. Look one way, go the other way.

3. Make the easy pass, shoot on hard pass.

Passing Keys:

1. Always position yourself where you can see the puck clearly.

2. Learn the right choice of pass.

3. Use touch (quick up/one time) , first and second touch skating and passing.

4. Know when to pass to stick, space or use no space play.

5. Know when to use boards.

6. Always use a fake before passing & receieving puck.

Varkaus Eagles Assistant Coach John Cacciatore Signs with Ice Sport Varese

John Cacctiatore served as Assistant Coach and Marketing Director for the Varkaus Eagles has signed a contract to be Head Coach of Ice Sport Varese. John previously had been Head Coach at California State University, Long Beach. "John played for me back in early 1980 in the All American Hockey League, "said Keith McAdams, General Manager of the Eagles. "It nice to see John end up in Italy. That was his goal from the start of this project. John did a great job for the Eagles and we are glad to see his objective achieved. We wish John the best of luck with Ice Sport Varese."

ERZURUM – On December 10th, the Turkish Women’s WU ice hockey team completed its training camp in Latvia and returned home. The Team will continue an even more intense preparation in Ankara. The final preparation will begin on January 2nd, 2011 and will continue until the ‘face-off’ of the WU ice hockey tournament. Team Turkey coached by Head Coach Keith MCADAMS and assistant coach Kaan BUDAK will face a strong competition against Canada, America, Finland, Slovakia and Great Britain.

National Team Defeats Bulgaria…

At the yesterdays competition Turkey was defeated by Slovenian team with 7-0 where as today Turkey won the match by 5-0 against Bulgaria.National team trained by Keith McAdams and his assistant Kaan Budak will come together with the Slovenian team for a return match on Thursday at 17:00 pm.Meanwhile Erzurum Women Cup will continue with Bulgaria-Slovenia matches tomorrow at 17:00pm.
