On January 3-9 the Erzurum Women Cup: The tournament ended with Turkey winning there first medal in their history, Slovenia finished in the first place Turkey becoming second and Bulgaria third. Turkish Woman Hockey has improved dramatically over the past three months. But, Keith McAdams, Head Coach said, "Turkey has a long way to go to play against teams like USA, Canada, and Finland". Turkey woman have only been playing hockey for four years. The World University Games will be overwhelming challenge for the woman. "Keith McAdams believes the woman will work hard and represent the country well, no matter how tough the opponents are."
